Lynda G. Prather

Lynda G. Prather, age 79, died Monday, February 6, 2023 at Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater. Born in Daytona Beach, to Lendal and Kizzie Jackson Fincher. She was a lifelong resident of Volusia County.

 

Lynda was a cosmetologist at Hair Currents, New Smyrna Beach for 30 years. She enjoyed going to work everyday, dinner out with her friends spending time with her co-workers and clients whom all became family to her.

 

Lynda was always the life of the party. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

 

Survivors include her son, Thomas  “Buddy” and daughter in law Cynthia Mock, of Edgewater; grandsons, Dale Mock and Ryan Mock; great granddaughter, Gabriella Mock, all of Edgewater. A brother Wayne Fincher , and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Ralph Phillips, Holly Fincher, sisters, Lillian Exum and Ethel Debarb,  and husband, Milton Prather.

 

Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home.
