Maddalena "Lina" Vitrano

Maddalena “Lina” Vitrano, age 88, of Edgewater, died Friday, September 3, 2021 at AdventHealth New Smyrna. Born in Parlemo, Italy to Lorenzo Graziano and Vinceza LaPiana Graziano, Lina came to the area in 2004 from Lodi, New Jersey.

 

A seamstress, she enjoyed crocheting, cooking and loved spending time with her family. Lina was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, welcomed everybody and treated them with the utmost respect. She never knew a stranger.

 

Survivors include her daughters, Anna Maria Vitrano (Christopher Hodgkinson); Gabriella Vitrano Bell (Mark); grandchildren, Asher Bell and Giavanna Amanti; brothers, Francesco Graziano (Jean) and Ignazio Graziano (Joanne); sisters, Susanna Giammona, Carmela Maglifiore and Caterina Saputo.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews who love her. Lina was preceded in death by her husband, Rosario in 2008 and her daughter, Rita Vitrano; siblings, Giuseppe Graziano, Salvatore Graziano, Antonino Graziano, and Providdenza DiMaggio.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Redemptorist Fathers officiating.

 

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to a charity of one’s choice.
