Marcia Petty

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Marcia Petty on November 7, 2025 at Cates House hospice in Ocala after a prolonged illness. Born in Brownsville, TN on December 16, 1953, she touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness, warmth, and courage. Marcia loved music and enjoyed playing her guitar and harmonica for anyone who would listen. She was a career beautician and managed her own salon for several years. She is survived by brothers Ken and Fred Petty and Bill Weatherbee and sisters Kaye Walker and Lynda Hughes as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Marcia was preceded in death by her mother Sue Napel. As we grieve this deep loss, we celebrate the memories and love she leaves behind. A private/family graveside service will be held as she is laid to rest next to her beloved mother in New Smyrna Beach. Marcia was an avid animal lover and was a dog or cat owner all her life. So in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Marion County Humane Society in her memory. Forever in our hearts, her spirit will live on in all those who loved her.
