Margaret Rayome Allen

Margaret Rayome Allen, age 86, passed away peacefully with  family by her side on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Born in Watertown, New York to Francis and Margaret Barclay Rayome, she came to the area in 1984 from Brewerton, New York.

 

Margaret was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 4242 and also enjoyed regular gatherings over the years with her ladies lunch bunch.  She enjoyed traveling, cruising and most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her family very much and will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.

 

Survivors include her 2 daughters, Linda Brill and Merry (Mickey) Smith, all of New Smyrna Beach; son, Charles (Blair) Allen, of Huntersville, North Carolina; 4 granddaughters, Nikki Griffin, Maggie McDermott, Molly (Chris) Sease and Katie (Sam) Copp; grandson, Robert Brill; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Mancarella; and brother, John (Joyce) Rayome. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 58 years, Robert, sister, Phyllis and brothers, Francis and Joe.

 

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday May 14, 2022 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home. Friends will be received from 1:30 p.m. to service time on Saturday May 14, 2022 at Settle-Wilder Chapel.
