Margaret W. McCullough

Margaret W. McCullough, age 86, died Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater. Born in New Smyrna Beach to Robert Leighton and Pauline Cora Miner Whitesides, Margaret was a lifelong resident of New Smyrna Beach.

A  homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, doing arts and crafts, watching her girls and great grandson horseback ride, fishing, camping, going to the mountains, and sitting on her front porch feeding the squirrels. Margaret loved her dog and especially spending time with her family and friends. I don't think she ever met a stranger.  

Survivors include her children, Peggy S. Butler and Tracy (Chad) Carpenter; granddaughters, Amber (Cody) Mitchell and Taylor Carpenter; great grandchildren, Rylan and Baylee, Aaliyah, Mason and Isaiah Mitchell, and Sadie Sanford; sister, Barbara Gray, nieces, nephews and brother-in-law, Eugene (Marty) McCullough. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, James in 2021.

A Celebration of Life will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home.
