Marilyn Dove, age 90, of New Smyrna Beach, died Tuesday January 18, 2022 at her residence. Born in Lapeer, Michigan to George and Cora Amanda Dufort Buhl, Marilyn came to the area in 1982 from her birthplace.
A typist clerk for the State of Michigan, she was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church, NSB where she painted a beautiful mural in the baptistry, played the organ and the piano for services. Marilyn had a community art class at church and was a wonderful and talented artist. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her daughter, Coralee Johnson, of Cape Girardeau, MO; son, Brian (Betty) Karpovich, of Brown City, MI; step daughter, Patrice Dove, of New Smyrna Beach; stepsons, Bob Dove, of Bradenton; Guy (Janis) Dove, of Gresham, OR and Dennis Dove, of Palm Bay; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Also survived by many nieces, nephews who were very dear to her heart. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, of 47 years; daughter, Kay; son, Tom; and 7 siblings.
Funeral service will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home with Pastor John Gray officiating. Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 21, 2022 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims. Friends will be received on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home.
