Marjorie Anne Matusick, age 71, of New Smyrna Beach, died Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach. Born in Miami to Leonard “Blast” and Marjorie Langham Matusick; Marjorie moved to this area as a young child.
A 1969 graduate of New Smyrna Beach High School, she went on to be a medical secretary. Marjorie was a current member of Glencoe Baptist Church and a past member of the First Baptist Church in New Smyrna Beach. She was in the church choir and loved to sing. She was currently the secretary and was a past Worthy Matron for the New Smyrna Beach Chapter 3 Order of the Eastern Star; serving over 50 years with the organization. She enjoyed animals, crafts, playing card games and loved spending time with her family. Marjorie had the biggest heart, kindest soul and was the sweetest woman toward everyone.
She is survived by a brother, Robert (Leigh) Matusick, of DeLand; a sister, Robin (Mike Wolf) Matusick of Dunlap, Tennessee; 3 nieces, Lindsey (Stan Potter) Matusick of New Smyrna Beach, Jennifer (Christopher) Stackhouse of Temecula, California, and Kayla (Frank) Jennings of DeLand; and a great nephew, Ethan Blum. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; an uncle, Wayne Langham; and an aunt, Audrey Langham.
Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, with the Order of the Eastern Star service and the Reverend Don Shobert officiating. Friends will be received from 2:00 until the service time at the funeral home.
