Marlene Veite Obituary
Marlene A. Veite, age 87, of New Smyrna Beach, died Friday, September 10, 2021 at her residence. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Fredrick Duane and Edith Hopkins Forste, Marlene came to the area in 1988 from her birthplace.
A homemaker, she was a member of Lighthouse Worship Center, New Smyrna Beach and loved her church and church family. She enjoyed Mission Trips, traveling overseas, painting and photography. Marlene was the President of Artist Workshop on Canal and received an AS degree in Arts from the College of Mount St. Joseph. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Survivors include her 6 children, Charles, Thomas, Carol, Stephen, Robert and Margie; 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and brother, Stuart Duane Forste. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and was preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 63 years, Charles.
Memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Lighthouse Worship Center, with Pastor Mel Rodriquez, officiating.
