Mary Janet Dailey

Mary Janet Dailey, age 79, of Edgewater, died Thursday, December 22, 2022 at her residence. Born in Prince George’s County, Maryland to Elmer and Margaret Taylor Pyles, Mary came to the area six years ago from the Washington area, Prince George’s County, Maryland.

 

A homemaker, Mary enjoyed knitting, crocheting playing cards and word puzzles. She also enjoyed just sitting in the sunshine, going to get her nails and her hair done. Mary loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and especially spending time with her family. She liked to give you a hard time too.

 

Survivors include her husband of 61years, Edward; four children, Terry Perez, Patricia (Doug) Hamilton, Thomas Edward Lynch, and Edward Dennis Dailey Jr.; grandchildren, Jessica Long, Joseph Long, Zachary Hamilton, Kelsey Hamilton, Andrew Hamilton, Cyndie Lynch, Amanda Lynch, Raechel Karle, Edward Dailey III, Steven Dailey, Eric Dailey and Elizabeth Dailey; great grandchildren, Tommy Long, Gabriel Long, Nayla Robinson, Mattison Cook, Kinsley Cleaves, Amora Lavince, Jaydah Hughes, and Andre Carl. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.

 

Funeral service will be 2:00  p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, with Patricia and Doug Hamilton, officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
