Mary M. Morton

Mary M. Morton, age 92, of Edgewater, died Saturday, November 4, 2023 at AdventHealth New Smyrna. Born in North East, Pennsylvania to Robert H. And Katherine M. Schefferle Wheeler, Mary came to the area in 1965 from her birthplace.

A retail cashier, she enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, and sewing. Mary made all of her children’s clothing and beautiful quilts.  The last few years, Mary loved playing bingo.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Gilliam; two sons, Terry (Karen) Morton, and Roger (B.J.) Morton, all of Edgewater; three granddaughters, Lisa Morton Link, of New Smyrna Beach; Amanda Morton, of Seattle, Washington; and Mary Morton, of Austin, Texas. Also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
