Mary Lou Mueller, age 85, of Edgewater, died Monday, July 13, 2020 at Parkside Health and Rehabilitation Center, DeLand. Born in Algonac, Michigan to Theodore and Dorothy Sharrow Smith, Mary Lou came to the area in 1996 from her place of birth.
She worked in the fiberglass industry and was a member of the Upper Room Chapel, Oak Hill. Mary Lou taught Sunday school for many years, and was involved with the youth groups. She loved volunteering at the church and singing as a soloist and the church choir. Mary Lou enjoyed arts and crafts. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Bernie; daughter, Shelley Weaver, of Edgewater; son, Robert McMasters, of Algonac, Michigan; 3 granddaughters, Breanna Avers, of Jupiter; Charesse Weaver, of New Smyrna Beach; Tabathia England, of Livonia, Michigan; 3 grandsons, Donald (Tara) Bell, of Clinton Township, Michigan; Robert (Peter) McMasters, Jr., of Algonac, Michigan; and Michael McMasters, of Algonac, Michigan; 4 great granddaughters, Amiah and Keiaria Hives, Xaeli Woods, Peyton England-Furton; great grandson, Ronnie England-Furton. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Toby, Edith, Ann and Gail; brothers, Angus, David and Paul.
Funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, with Pastor Will Callaway, Upper Room Chapel, officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
