Mary “Noel” Botting, age 83, of Edgewater, died peacefully Tuesday morning at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Rockaway Beach, New York, and moved to the area in 1979 with her late husband, Dr. Arthur Botting, and their children. She is survived by her two sons, Arthur and his wife, Jennifer, Chris and his wife, Jennifer, her daughter, Jacqueline, two sisters and five brothers, and four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Her devoted caregivers, Susan, Janine, and Kathy ensured that her final years were filled with care, comfort and genuine friendship.
Beloved by her family, she was known for her kind, loving nature, incredible sense of humor and infectious laughter. She enjoyed being with family and friends, especially the children in her life. She was a visionary and inventive interior decorator who often brought beautiful, creative projects to life through her own hands. Dignified and graceful, Noel was a classic beauty who possessed a heart of gold. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 7th at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in New Smyrna Beach. A reception will immediately follow at So Napa for family and friends. She will be laid to rest with her late husband in Quogue, NY.
