It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Matt Carstens on January 8, 2025, in New Smyrna Beach, FL. At the age of 42, he left this world much too soon. He was born on the 5th of July, 1982, and celebrated every birthday with fireworks. He was a loving husband to his wife, Alysha, and a proud dad to his son, Gabriel. He was a kind friend, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and so much more. 

Amongst many hobbies and collections, Matt enjoyed martial arts, sport bikes, and Miami Hurricane football. He valued God and country, the great outdoors and time playing pool with friends. Most of all, he treasured the countless adventures with his family, even if those adventures were sometimes just a cozy night in with a movie. 

He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Matt will be honored by his wife and son in a private farewell.
