Our beloved Nancy Sue Soke was called home to be with her heavenly Father on Sunday, January 14, 2024.
Nancy was 74 years old and resided in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. She was born in Charleston, West Virginia to Charles Wilkinson and Virginia McCown Wilkinson.
Nancy lived in a house built by her father on Tyler Mountain. Nancy’s mother, Virginia “Ginny”, passed away when Nancy was only 7 years old.
Nancy spent a lot of time with her grandparents and aunts who helped care for her until Charles remarried to Betty Jane Hylton.
Among many things, Nancy was a Realtor who loved helping people design their dream homes.
She enjoyed painting, decorating, and working in the yard. Nancy had a way of envisioning things that just amazed everyone around her.
She loved living by the water and never stopped being excited every time she saw a dolphin or manatee, but most of all Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She was a beautiful lady, of Christian faith with a big heart that loved life and others.
Nancy will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Dennis Soke; daughter, Lisa Jones, and son-in-law Steve Jones; grandsons, Brandon and Jacob; stepdaughters, Denise Soke and Dawn Budziak; step-grandchildren, Alex, Ryan, Kyle, Kennedy, Ben, and Sean; sister, Eva King; brother, Greg Wilkinson; nieces, Reanne and Lindsey; and her cousin, Jeanette Carter Forbes. Nancy was predeceased by her nephew Jesse.
