Obituary
Patricia A. Benson, age 80, of Pine City, New York and Oak Hill, Florida, died Monday, April 10, 2023 at Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater. Born in Liberty, Pennsylvania to Donald H. and Bernadine L. Butters Brown, Patricia spent her winter months in Florida.
A retired school teacher, she attended Bella Vista Baptist Church, very faithful. Patricia was a wonderful artist, and enjoyed doing crafts of all kinds. She loved to read, garden, and had gorgeous flowers. Patricia was a wonderful cook and she loved to bake all kinds of cookies, especially Christmas cookies for the neighbors.
Survivors include her sister, Diane (Gary) Kreger, of Sayre, Pennsylvania, and Ocala, Florida; nephew, Scott (Roxanne) Kreger, of Canton, Georgia; niece, Pam (Spencer) Gerow, of Corning, New York; 2 great nieces, Lauren Gerow, and Amanda Kreger; 5 cousins, Charell Knipe, Arland Knipe, Randy Knipe, Craig Knipe and Keving Knipe; dear dear friend, Eudora Shuler; dear friends, Brenda Hardy and Larry Johnson, both of Oak Hill. Also survived by many close friends; and her puppies, Sasha and Missy. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, John.
