Paul T. Federico

Paul T. Federico, age 93, of New Smyrna Beach, died Monday December 18, 2023 at AdventHealth New Smyrna. Born in Little Falls, New York to Thomas and Mary Dinitto Federico, Paul came to the area in 2002 from Mohawk, New York.

He was a United States Army veteran, where he was a Tank Commander. Paul spent his career at General Electric as an Aerospace Planner. He attended  Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Paul was a member of Horseshoe Club, Port Orange; and Sunday Bowling League, New Smyrna Beach. He was an avid sports fan and was very sociable, a happy go lucky kind of guy. Paul loved to bake and especially make his wonderful bread. Everyone enjoyed the awesome smell in the kitchen while it baked and eating it too. He built his own home, a self taught from a book and loved building toys for the kids and grandkids. Paul always wanted to be married to a red head, so Shirley was sure to stay the one for 70 years. 

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Shirley; two daughters, Bonnie (Susie Leonard) Federico, of Rochester, New York; and Liz (John) Sokerka, of New Smyrna Beach; three grandsons, Paul (Katie) Solerka, of Newberge, Oregon; David Sokerka, of Kissimmee; and Nicholas (Kara) Leonard, of Pittsford, New York; great grandchildren, Greyson and Elin Leonard, of Pittsford, New York; brother, Tony (Millie) Federico; brother-in-law, Dick Bowen; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Dick) Thrasher. Paul is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Isabella (Vic) Caliguire.
