ETHEL PAULINE WHITE
12/22/1940 - 9/26/2022
Pauline was a beautiful soul who loved to tell jokes and spread sunshine everywhere she went. She told everyone about Jesus in a gentle loving way. Pauline was not a tech savvy person, but she loved Facebook because it opened up a huge world of new people to make friends with. She even found some awesome preachers and singers for Dad to use in church. Always the cut up, Pauline loved to be picked on, but not agitated; she said it meant you were loved. Pauline was quiet most of the time and read more than most. If you were friends she thought of you often, and if you were closest friend she kept in touch. One particular friendship started when she found a wallet in Walmart. Upon taking it home and looking up the owner, she got in touch with them and have remained friends for years. Pauline loved her flowers of every kind, having more than 30 on her back porch alone. She also loved growing tomatoes, and cucumbers which she grew in pots when she gave up gardening. Pauline definitely had a green thumb.
She was born into a family of 11, her parents William Claiborne Squires Sr. and Ethel Pauline Squires who both preceded her in death; Claiborne Squires Jr. preceded, married Doris Conn preceded James Edward Squires preceded, Sarah Jane Squires living, married Clinton J Bordelon preceded, John Franklin Squires, living married Trudi Ikerd living, Glenn Allen Squires preceded, Joyce Ann Squires living, with Buddy Liley living, Gerald Lee Squires preceded married Judy Anne Curry preceded. Both of her parents worked in tobacco factories.
Pauline was born and raised in Chesterfield County, Virginia. Then she met Dad and started life anew.
November 15, 1958, life changed for she met William Thomas White. They knew right away it was to be so; six weeks later, just two days before turning eighteen, they were married on December 20, 1958. They had four daughters, Ruby Pauline Kammer; Rebecca Sue Cochrane; Retha Elizabeth Gardner; and Regina Lynn Cunningham; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
