Peggy Lee Young, age 74, of Edgewater, died Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, Flagler. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee to Lonas Clevo and Rachel (Dockery) Patterson, Peggy came to the area in 1981 from Chattanooga, Tennessee.
A former insurance underwriter, Peggy was a member of Indian River Baptist Church, the Treasurer and played the piano at church. Peggy enjoyed traveling and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Garland; 3 sons, Ed (Anita) Driggers of Knoxville, Tennessee, Jimmy Driggers of Ringgold, Georgia, and Johnathan (Beth) Young of Stafford, Virginia; 2 daughters, Katherine (Chris) Reul of Enterprise, Alabama, Dana (Tony) Cribbs of Edgewater, Florida; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, James (Carolyn) Patterson of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Roy Patterson, of Cleveland, Tennessee. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Lonas and Sam Patterson.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Settle-Wilder’s Chapel with Dr. Keith Taylor, Indian River Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater. Friends will be received Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Monday, October 22, 2018 from 12:00 until service time.
