Regina S. Grogan

Regina S. Grogan, 72, of Edgewater, Florida went to be with the Lord on Monday January 3, 2022.

She was born on May 24, 1949 in Mullins, SC to the late Roger L. & Eileen Hammond. Regina graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University. 

Her career over four decades ranged from working with federal government Social Security Administration in Washington, DC, a manager for Aetna Life & Casualty from 1971 - 1990 in McLean and Virginia Beach, VA. Later she moved to Edgewater in 1990 and worked for State Farm Insurance as an agent from 1991-2009 when she retired.

Regina was an avid reader, enjoyed history, literature, quilting, volunteering at her church Bibleway  Church of God in Christ in Oak Hill, Bert Fish and Advent Hospital in New Smyrna.

Regina preceded in death by her husband,Chess Grogan, her step daughter, Sissy Grogan, her parents,Roger L. & Eileen Hammond. Regina is survived by her brother,Roger D. and his wife Claire Hammond, of Roanoke, VA; sister, Manda Fortney and brother, Myron Hammond of Edgewater, and sister, Deirdre and husband Dana Williamson of Vienna, VA, grand step daughter, Meggan and her husband Chris Word, many nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved cat Lilly.

Funeral service at the graveside will be conducted at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater, on Friday January 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Willie Wood, officiating. Following CDC Guidelines, please wear a mask to help prevent possible COVID-19 infection.
