Regina Dale [nee Wilson] Reid left this world on September 2, 2023 at Halifax Hospice in Edgewater, Florida.
“Gina” moved to New Smyrna Beach with her significant other Bill Grannis in 1983, starting out as a bank teller for the new branch of Harbor Federal Savings and Loan after employment at the Federal Reserve Bank in Memphis, Tennessee. She became the branch manager for Harbor Federal after a few years and became active in the community.
Gina was on the Volusia County Business Development Board, a past president of the South East Volusia Chamber of Commerce, and a member of Kiwanis until her retirement in 2008 after National City Bank purchased Harbor Federal, which in turn was absorbed by PNC Bank.
She enjoyed the Florida lifestyle spending weekends on their boat or riding on a motorcycle with Bill along with much traveling and enjoying cruises in the Caribbean. In addition she enjoyed her retirement and the time with her grandchildren.
Gina is preceded in death by her Father Joseph Wilson, brother Wade Wilson, daughter Deanna “Missy” [nee Scallorns] Treu, and step-son Rick Grannis. She is survived by her Mother Betty Wilson, significant other Bill Grannis, sister Pat (Steve) Samford, brother Windall Wilson, daughter Tami [nee Scallorns] Hirsch, grandsons William Hirsch and Jack Treu, granddaughters Dory Hirsch and Katie Hirsch, and a great-granddaughter Elsie Hirsch. She also leaves behind a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She will be missed by all.
