Richard "Dick" S. Mahoney

Richard "Dick" S. Mahoney, 70, of Geneva, NY, passed peacefully March 4,2024 at his Florida home surrounded by his family.

Dick was born February 5, 1954, the son of the late Eugene and Mary June Converse Mahoney, the youngest of 6 children. On May 24, 1975, he married Mary Anne Higgins Mahoney.

DicK had a successful 34-year career at HMI Mechanical Systems, where he managed New York State Emergencies  and thrived on solving problems no one else could. He reconstructed a beautiful lake home where he and Mary Anne lived for 20 years. He loved riding wave runners on Seneca Lake and solving the world's problems with his good friends Jon and Rick.

Dick was most at home repairing and restoring things in his garage and pole barn.  Dick is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Anne; daughter and son-in-law, Christi and Michael Rollo and granddaughter Claire; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Lyndi Mahoney and granddaughter Kinley,  grandsons Easton and Brayden; brothers Jim , and Mike (Patricia) and his fifth Airedale Terrier Molly.

Also, hIs Brothers and Sister in Laws, Daniel and Maureen Higgins and Thomas and Carole Higgins. He also leaves behind many wonderful nieces and nephew and friends.. Dick was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Mahoney and his sister-in-law Sue Mahoney, Parents in law Robert and Kathryn Higgins, brothers in law Robert, David and John Higgins.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no calling hours. (Until we meet again) Celebration will be announced later at a time convenient to the family.
