Robert L. Clark

Robert L. Clark, age 78, of New Smyrna Beach, died Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Indigo Manor, Daytona Beach. Born in Portland, Maine to Lloyd A. and Mary J. Cragin Clark, Robert came to the area in 2009 from Lake Stevens, Washington.

A retired Vietnam river patrol boat gunner for the United States Navy, he was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Robert enjoyed traveling, gardening, and Sudoku. He was a historian and researched his genealogy back to the early 1400's. Robert was a true family man and will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Survivors include his best friend and partner, Pat McVey, of New Smyrna Beach; son, Robert Clark Jr., of Tacoma, Washington; daughter, Donna Fiori, of Seattle, Washington; step-daughter, Miki True and her fiancé, Sean Harkins, of Edgewater; 8 grandchildren; sisters, Gloria Lathrope, of Maine and June Burnell, of Venice, FL. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; son, James; and step daughter, Jodi McVey.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, with Father Patrick Quinn, officiating.
