Robert T. Dotson

Robert T. Dotson, age 93, of Edgewater, died on Monday, March 13, 2023 at his residence. Born in Baltimore, Maryland to Robert Neal and Gertrude M. Gorschboth Dotson, Robert came to the area in 2002 from Litttlestown, Pennsylvania.

 

An engineer in the communications industry, he was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, the American Legion Post #0400, and the Telephone Pioneers of America.  Robert enjoyed playing golf, and singing in the choir at church. He loved his Scottish Terrier dogs, currently, Rosie. Robert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

 

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Dolores (Dolly); two daughters, Lisa (Charles) Yankee, of Middle River, Maryland, and Deanna (Patrick) Walsh, of Edgewater; two granddaughters, Kari (Christopher) Walker and Mary Yankee; two grandsons, Patrick R. Walsh and Alexander B. Yankee; great granddaughter, Katie Belle Walker; and two great grandsons, Tyler Walker and Brayson Walker.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members; brother-in-law, Joseph G. Trebes. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Elizabeth M. Trebes.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, with the Reverend Patrick Quinn, officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
