Robert (Bob) Allen Durbin

Robert (Bob) Allen Durbin, age 84, died Saturday, September 28, 2024 at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach.

Born in Cuba, MIssouri to Walter Edward and Bessie Rebecca Thoma Durbin, Bob came to the area in 1986 from St. James, Missouri.

A United States Navy veteran, he was a die setter for Hudson Tool and Dye. Bob was a member of the Independent Missionary Baptist Church and loved going fishing and hunting. His greatest passion was creating  and designing furniture. Bob liked target practicing, tinkering on old cars, camping and most of all spending time with his family and beloved dog Max.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Judy; children, Timothy (April) Durbin, Roberta Stephens, Pamela (Rob) McErlane; and Michelle (Jessie) Webb; Russell (Kelly) Durbin; James Durbin; numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren; brother, Samuel Edward (Laurie) Durbin and a large extended family.  Bob was preceded in death by his son, Robert Michael Durbin; sister, Rebecca Crow, and his parents.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home with Dr. Keith Taylor, Indian River Baptist Church, officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater. Friends will be received from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2024 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home.
