Roby R. Craft, age 94, passed away Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024 after a short illness.
Born in Danville, Va. on June 15, 1929 to Roby Craft and Carrie Myrtle Thomas Craft.
He was the first in his family to attend college, and graduated from the University of Virginia in 1952, and later went on to obtain a Master’s degree from George Washington University.
A pilot in the US Air Force, he retired after 20 years of service at the rank of Lt. Col. in 1972, and served during the Korean War and in Vietnam.
After his military career, he was a sales manager in the computer peripheral industry for 17 years, retiring in 1989.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Betty Craft. He is survived by his four children; daughter Karen Cassanello, son Allen Craft, daughter Kimla Shelton, and son Bryan
Craft, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Services will be held at Settle-Wilder Funeral home on February 8, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery with military honors.
