Rosemary Jordan Preston

Rosemary Jordan Preston, age 97, of New Smyrna Beach, died Sunday, April 16, 2023.  Born in Chicago, Illinois to Fred and Katherine Heffernan Jordan, Rosemary married Joseph James Preston in Staten Island, New York; and moved to New Smyrna  Beach in 1965 from Merritt Island. 

A homemaker, Rosemary devoted her life to the church and her catholic faith.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and she was an avid reader.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, spending time with her family and cruises.

Survivors include 7 children, Sharon (Andy) Wilbert, Nancy (Ken) Blizzard, Thomas (Olga) Preston, Linda Preston, Fred (Sandy) Preston, Emily (Mike) Epperson, and Jeannie (Craig) Colburn; 28 grandchildren and over 20 great grandchildren.  Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband Joseph James Preston in 1986.  

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 19 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Redemptorist Fathers officiating.  Burial will follow at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater.  Friends will be received Tuesday, April 18 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home; with family and friends sharing memories at 4:00 p.m.
