Russell Fortney Obituary

Russell Hallie Fortney, age 72, of Edgewater, died Friday, April 19, 2024 at Advent Health Daytona Beach. Born in Dearborn, Michigan to Eleanor Marie Autio and James Leroy Fortney Sr., Russell came to the area in 2007 from Taylor, Michigan.

He was a machinist for General Motors Cadillac Division; played tennis and enjoyed walking on the beach. Russell was an avid sports fan and was a devoted husband.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Barbara; brother, James (Lynn) Fortney, of Monroe, Michigan; sister, Cindy (Edward) Romej; nieces, Kellie (John) Malett, of Brownstown, Michigan; Corey (Brian) Le Boeut, of Brighton, Michigan; and nephew, Brian Fortney, of Southgate, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no service.
