Ryan Michelbrink, age 29, of New Smyrna Beach, died Sunday, February 4 as a result of a vehicle crash.
Born in West Palm Beach, Ryan had dual residency in West Palm Beach and New Smyrna Beach until becoming a permanent New Smyrna Beach resident in 2012. Vice president, COF (Chief of Fun), and general manager of Clancy’s Cantina, Ryan was a graduate of Jupiter High School in West Palm Beach, and a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Possessed with a larger than life personality, Ryan loved family and friends. He also enjoyed golf, breaking his father’s boat, surfing, soccer, and going to theme parks.
Survivors include Margaret and Danny Michelbrink; his mother, Eileen Michelbrink of West Palm Beach; partner and love of his life, Miriam Hosmon of New Smyrna Beach; sisters, Amanda Hancock and husband, David, of Scotland, Mary and Maureen Michelbrink, both of New Smyrna Beach; brothers, Liam and Kevin Michelbrink, both of New Smyrna Beach; grandfather, Dan Borovac of Cleveland, Ohio; nephews, Charlie and Jamie Hancock of Scotland; and the entire Clancy family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, with the Reverend Patrick Quinn T.O.R. officiating. A reception will follow at Anglers Yacht Club.
