Shelly L. (Buz) Hayes III, 70, of Edgewater, went to be with Jesus Thursday, January 20, 2022, at his residence. A lifelong resident of the New Smyrna Beach area, he was passionate about sharing his love for Jesus Christ and his family.

He was a former president of the Sand Spur Riding Club and the CWA Local 3102. Buz was a dedicated hunter, fisherman and had a deep love for the outdoors.
Survivors include the love of his life of 45 years, Adonna; 3 daughters, Shelli (James) Kobylanski, Shelley (Henry Sumner), and Andrea (Dustin Donald); 2 sisters, Andrea Kamakaris, and Sharon (John) Music; a brother, Tim (Lorrie) Wilson; his mother, Elna Jean Mills; 11 grandchildren, Adonna, Haili, Joel, Garrett, Buzz, Tommy, Kaydence, James Jr., JJ, Dustin and Jacob; and 4 great-grandchildren, Taten, Ryder, Isaac, and Gunner.
