Sherri Swain Simmons

Sherri Swain Simmons, age 61, of New Smyrna Beach, died Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at AdventHealth New Smyrna. Born in New Smyrna Beach, to Preston and Patricia Hall Swain, Sherri was a lifelong resident.

She worked for the school board and was involved at the school for the blind. A 1980 graduate of New Smyrna Beach High School, Sherri was very independent and would do anything for anyone. She enjoyed coloring, arts and crafts and watching soap operas. Sherri loved Christmas and above all loved her family dearly.

Survivors include her four children, Jason (Jenea) Simmons, of Grant; Sean (Rebekah) Simmons, of Satellite Beach; Tiffany Simmons (Spencer) Reinking, of Melbourne and Aubree Linne, of Daytona Beach; sister, Corrine Fisher; seven grandchildren, Annalee, Kolton, Hunter, Summer, Violet, Natalee and Mason. Sherri was preceded in death by her parents and brother Michael Swain. 

A Celebration of Life will be 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, with Pastor James Waddell, of Ambassadors for Christ Baptist Church, Grant, Florida, officiating. Friends will be received on Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home.
