Ted Hartman, age 80, of Oak Hill, died Monday, February 15, 2021 at his residence. Born in Ashtabula, Ohio to Harold and Marigold Virginia Maloney Hartman, Ted came to the area at the age of 17 from Ohio.
A veteran in the Army Reserves, he was a machinist that enjoyed tinkering on anything with an engine. Ted loved his dog, Lilly; his family and a good meal. He was a member of the East Coast Cruisers Car Club as well as the Florida Flywheelers Antique Engine Club. Ted liked motorcycles and was a real laid back man that will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Survivors include his children, Cara Swayze; Leslie Steinmetz; Vincent (Nicole) Camilli; Harold “Joseph” Hartman; Anthony Scott Hartman, and Frances Dawn Hartman Stout; grandchildren, Francesca, Brooklyn, Jette, Angel, Anabel, Isabella and Hannah; brother Gene Hartman and sister, Paula Hartman. Ted was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Kathleen.
Funeral service with military honors will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, with Rosemarie Kreiner, officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to the time of the service at Settle-Wilder Chapel.
