Theresa Louise Thompson

Theresa Louise Thompson, age 52, of Oak Hill, died, Friday, October 21, 2022 at AdventHealth New Smyrna. Born in New Smyrna Beach to Fred and Florence Jean Gilbert Turner, Theresa was a lifelong resident.

 

A cook for many years at Goodrich’s Restaurant, Theresa had a large restaurant family. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, horses and loved her dogs. Theresa was a social butterfly and her nickname was terrible T. She loved her family more than anything, especially her granddaughter Charlie called her Gamma. Theresa was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother that will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.

 

Survivors include her sons, Travis Thompson, of Mims and Vernon Thompson, of Oak Hill; step daughter, Ashley Malcolm of Oak Hill; granddaughter, Charlie Rose Thompson, of Oak Hill; former husband Joel Malcolm, of Oak Hill;  sisters, Tammy (Buddy) Bowley, Faith (Bear) Thompson and Becky (Jermey) Patterson; brother, Buddy (Julie) Turner; mother in law, Mary Thompson, of Blue Ridge, Georgia. Theresa was preceded by her parents, and  husband, Vernon Bennett Thompson.

 

Graveside Service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2022 at Oak Hill Cemetery, with the Reverend Donald Shobert, officiating. Friends will be received on Monday, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., October 31, 2022 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home.
