Tomislav Kucelin, age 79, of New Smyrna Beach, died Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater. Born in Zadar, Croatia to Tome and Katica Ivanov Kucelin, Tomislav came to the area in 1977 from Queens, New York.
As a carpenter, Tom worked on the World Trade Center in New York City. Tomislav attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing, music, piano, guitar and harmonica. When he was younger, he played soccer and loved to dance. Tomislav had a good sense of humor and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home. Friends will be received on Sunday, April 11, 2021, from Noon until the time of the service.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Sally; son, Klaudio (Ana) Kucelin, of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Kale and Luka Kucelin, of Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Sime (Ivanka) Kucelin, of Croatia; sisters, Marica Kucelin, of Croatia and Mirjana Jakovac, of New York. Tomislav was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Bianka, one brother and two sisters.
