Tracy DiDonato, age 58, passed on to her new life in heaven on Monday, March 13, 2023. Born in Smithfield, RI to Robert Michael and Barbara Ann Smith DiDonato, Tracy moved to Port Orange, FL three years ago from North Smithfield, RI for retirement after having a long and successful career.
A chef, she was a proficient cook and baker; everything she created was not only delicious, but was full of love. Tracy was the owner of Robert’s Delicatessen and Catering in Providence, RI. She is credited with creating the “Make My Day,” a sandwich that lived up to its name and was loved by all. In retirement she kept busy with pilates, gardening, reading cookbooks, sourdough bread baking, and going on RV trips with her husband. She was a Chihuahua lover and mom to three of them. Tracy was a giver who didn’t expect anything in return; she was a high energy person who filled her plate by helping others. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hosting dinner parties, picnics on the beach, and having espresso with dad.
Tracy was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Ann Smith DiDonato. Survivors include her husband of 30 years, John Keith Craveiro; father, Robert Michael DiDonato and companion Joan; sisters, Natalie, Lisa, and Amy (Kevin); brother, Robert; lifelong best friend, Kimberly Ann Ciotti-Corrente; stepsisters, Diane, Kimberly, and Lori (Timothy); brothers-in-law, Joseph, Fred (Jean), Clinton (Linda), Stephen, and Joseph A. Colanduono; sister-in-law, Florence Rego; her beloved niece Christina, and many nieces and nephews who she loved as her own.
