Vincent P. Wiley

Vincent P. Wiley, age 70, of Edgewater, died Saturday afternoon, November 19, 2022 at Halifax Health Medical Center, Daytona Beach.

Vincent was born in Philadelphia, PA to Howard and Eleanor (McGrath) Wiley and moved to the area in 2001 after retiring from the Philadelphia Police Department. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #5 and was a graduate of St. Joseph University in Philadelphia. 

He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Smyrna Beach and previously Immaculate Heart of Mary, in Philadelphia, PA.

Vince enjoyed reading, classical music and history. He loved his dogs and was a devoted father and grandfather.

Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth Wiley (Chris Taylor) of Philadelphia, PA; son, Matthew Wiley, of Norristown, PA;  2 granddaughters, Ella and Izzy; 3 grandsons, Matthew, Ryan, and CJ.,  3 brothers, Butch (Jacky) Wiley, Mit Wiley, and Gene (Josie) Wiley.  

Other surviving loved ones include the love of his life for 22 years, Jennifer Bonamo, of Edgewater, affectionately referred to as “my Jenny”, and her two sons: Jon (Maria) Bonamo and Jason (Kassie) Bonamo; and grandsons: Kason, Brooks, Gio and Brandon, of Port Orange.  

Vincent was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry.

Internment at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater.
