William Geroski, 79, of Edgewater, died Friday, January 7, 2022 at Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater. Born in Paterson, New Jersey to Bennie and Ada Bryson Geroski; William moved to this area in 1979 from Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey.
William served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was the former owner and operator of Barb and Bill’s Cleaning Service for over 30 years and he was a master mechanic that enjoyed working on cars. An avid coin collector, Bill liked sports, coaching baseball, fishing, listening to music and playing his guitar. He loved his 1967 GTO and working hard but above all he loved his family.
Survivors include his 2 sons, William (Patricia) Geroski, of Edgewater, and Kevin (Jessica) Geroski, of St. Louis, MO; 7 grandchildren, Billy, Jennifer, Dustin, Corey, Kyle, Kaden and Liam; great grandchildren, Olivia and Rylan, and one more great grandchild on the way; and siblings, Alan, Mary, Edna, Lorraine and Shirley. William was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Barbara, in 2016; a brother, David; his parents; and his beloved dog Spike.
The family will have a private funeral service due to the current COVID situation. Friends may meet at 12:45 p.m., Friday January 14, at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater, for a committal service and military honors.
