William "Bill" Corbett Obituary

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Bill Corbett, who left us on November 29, 2024, at the age of 62. Born on July 19, 1962, in Coral Gables, Florida, Bill touched the lives of so many with his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for people and animals.  He resided in New Smyrna Beach where he passed peacefully in his sleep after facing ongoing heart issues in recent years.

Bill grew up in Titusville, Florida, where he developed a love for surfing, fishing, and spending time on the water. He was the fifth of eight children born to Mary Frances and William Robert Corbett. With four older siblings and three younger siblings, Bill embraced his role as the middle child. He discovered a passion for food and cooking early in life and earned an Associate’s Degree from the Florida Culinary Institute. Later, he followed in his father’s footsteps, using his charismatic personality to excel in sales, becoming well-known in the boat sales industry. Bill was a loving father who cared deeply for his son Spencer. Bill also had a love for collectibles and enjoyed acquiring antiques and unique treasures, which he generously gifted to family and friends. His generosity was one of his most admirable traits, and his presence brought joy and light to all who knew him.

Bill is survived by his son Spencer Corbett, who resides in La Vergne, Tennessee and his siblings: Stephen Corbett (Monica), Patricia Corbett, James Corbett, Kathleen Corbett Joaquin (John), Jeanne Corbett Smith (Michael), Teresa Corbett Murru (Frank), and Ann Corbett Herlitzka (David). Bill was a beloved uncle to thirteen nieces and nephews and a great-uncle to five great-nieces and nephews. He is remembered by countless friends who will forever cherish the memories of his handsome face and charming personality. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Frances and William Robert Corbett.
