Beloved husband of Pat (Roettgen), father to Joe (Denise), Dana (Greg), and Trisha (Jack). Grandfather to Jack, Max, Marina, Sophia, Isabella, Ava, Emerson. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Brother to Linda (Dave) DeRue. Brother-in-law to Shirley Hoven, Sandy Lentine, Judy and Dick Zwicke, Sue and Mark Jeep.  Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Joe and Pete.

Bill was born September 30, 1938 in Waukegan, Illinois to Dominick and Anna (Zarlenga) Lentine. On September 15, 1962 he wed the love of his life, Pat Roettgen at Saint Anastasia Church in Waukegan Illinois.

Bill was raised and educated in Waukegan, Illinois prior to serving in the United States Marine Corps.

He and Pat moved to Clearwater, Florida in 1987, establishing roots until present day, also residing in Orlando, and finally, New Smyrna Beach.

Bill was a car enthusiast, and he owned and operated Washington Texaco in Waukegan, Illinois from 1963 to 1986. He put his heart and soul into his business and cherished taking care of his customers as well as getting to know them and sharing jokes and laughter.

Bill enjoyed classic cars, woodworking, and cooking Italian food. He and Pat raised and showed Shetland Sheepdogs, winning many awards. He was an impeccable landscaper, meticulously tending to his yard with love and unrivaled commitment. Most of all he cherished spending time with his family. He was naturally selfless and giving, and at the end of a phone call with family, Bill would sign off with his classic, one-word trademark: “Love.”
