William “Bob” Mayberry, age 96, of Edgewater, FL died Friday, January 22, 2021 at Halifax Health Hospice Edgewater. Born June 30, 1924 in Glen Carbon Crossing, IL to William and Susie Young Mayberry; Bob moved to Lakeland, FL in 1969 and then to Edgewater 30 years ago.
A former manager in heating and air conditioning; Bob served in the United States Navy as an Aviation Radioman during WWII. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in New Smyrna Beach and loved playing bridge, reading, golfing and dabbling in the stock market.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Jackie; 3 children, Dan G. Mayberry and his wife, Valerie; Nancy Susan Mayberry Carder, and her husband Joe; and Janet E. Hutton; 7 grandchildren,18 great grandchildren with one more on the way; and brother, Gene Mayberry and his wife, Agnes. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Larry, his sister, Wilma, and a son-in-law, Rick Hutton.
