WILLIAM JOE “BILL” SANDERS, age 81, of New Smyrna Beach, FL died peacefully at home on March 8, 2023. Bill was born in Eastman, Georgia and moved to Florida in 1954. Bill served in the U.S. Air Force, and graduated with a Bachelor in Civil Engineering and Master in Business Administration from the University of Florida. He worked for Lockheed Martin as a facilities engineer for over 20 years and was a member of Coronado Community UMC. Bill enjoyed traveling, riding motorcycles and boating. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his Wife of 48 years Linda Hedges Sanders; his Children, Michael Sanders, Joseph Sanders, James Kopp and Karen Kopp McCullen; and 13 Grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his Son, James Sanders and Grandson, Jonathan Sanders.
