STEPHEN DAMBAUGH

Funeral Director/General Manager

Steve, born and raised just north of Pittsburgh, moved to Florida in 2004 and  resides in New Smyrna Beach. He graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and was a funeral director in central Pennsylvania before moving to Florida.

An avid outdoorsman, Steve enjoys riding his motorcycle, fishing, camping, enjoying the river, the beach and spending time with his son.

Funeral Director

Born and raised in Philadelphia PA, Meg graduated from Mercer County Community College in New Jersey where she received a Degree in Mortuary Science in 1995, after graduating she moved to Florida to begin her career in the funeral industry.

Meg married her husband Barry in 1996 and moved to this area in 2003, where she enjoys the outdoors especially swimming and riding her motorcycle. She joined the Settle-Wilder family in March of 2013.

JANICE CONRAD

JANICE CONRAD

Office Manager

Janice joined the Settle-Wilder family in October, 2004. She brings over 40 years of business management to our team. Janice oversees the general operations of the funeral home; performs a wide variety of duties such as, composing obituaries, coordinating services, and schedules and monitors funeral service operations. Her attention to detail is an asset to our funeral home. Being compassionate, she is dedicated to helping our families with her caring ways.

Janice found her niche in the funeral industry at the Freitag Funeral Home in Bridgeton, New Jersey; where she worked over eight years as the Business Administrator. Always finding satisfaction helping others, working at Freitag’s was a wonderful business opportunity.

Janice and her husband Craig moved from Upper Deerfield Township, Cumberland County, New Jersey in 2004, when they purchased a home in the Florida Shores, Edgewater. In 2020, they built their dream home, off the grid in Oak Hill. She enjoys sitting on the porch, admiring the sunsets, listening to the birds and feeding the fish in their pond. Janice is a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In her spare time, Janice is an active volunteer with the East Coast Cruisers Car Club and currently the Board Secretary. You can see her at the local car shows with her 1966 GTO, “Sarah”.

Funeral Assistant and Community Liaison

Roy joined Settle-Wilder Funeral Home and Cremation Service in early 2018. He serves as Funeral Assistant and Community Liaison. As Funeral Assistant he works with the Funeral Directors and staff to assure client families receive the highest level of care for themselves and their loved ones. As Community Liaison he works with community partners, representing Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, to enhance all aspects of our community’s quality of life. Settle-Wilder serves as a resource to our community’s citizens, churches, government agencies, businesses and organizations. Please contact Roy for information on partnerships and assistance.

Roy has extensive experience in customer assistance and client care. He has over 45 years of experience in both higher education and the automotive industry as well as prior funeral home experience. Roy and his wife Sherry moved full-time to New Smyrna Beach from Southeastern Michigan in 2017 but have visited and had a home here for many years. Roy holds both B.S. and MBA degrees. 

In his free time Roy enjoys spending time with his family and enjoying our special communities here in Southeast Volusia County. He is a strong advocate for the importance of education for all citizens. He enjoys antique and special interest vehicles, aviation and flying and history as well as current events.
