Charlene R. Carr

Charlene R. Carr, age 77, of New Smyrna Beach, died Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital Daytona Beach.

Born in Florala, Alabama, Charlene came to this area in 15 years ago from Orlando. She was an owner of a child day care facility, a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, and a member of the Order of St. Luke. Charlene enjoyed the beach, sewing, and collecting figurines especially African animals and dolls. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include her loving husband of 32 years, James; two sons, David (Rhonda) Kendle, of Titusville; Jon (Phillip Fansler) Carr, of Los Angeles; two grandsons, Josh Kendle, Jack Calvin Kendle, both of Titusville. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Charlene is preceded in death by her parents, James and Glenda (Helms) Revels, sister, Carolyn Higginbotham.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 3, 2016 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1650 Live Oak Street, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168, with the Reverend Rodney Roehner officiating.
